About me
Writing has always been in my blood.
My dad is a journalist/producer/author and, whether it’s nature or nurture or both, that urge to put ink on paper and that ease of expression through words comes to me too. And it usually comes with much pleasure.
I used to be the Features Editor of my college paper and the VP for Communications of my university org. I loved doing those.
But somewhere along the way, I stopped. Most of my written works consisted of powerpoints and business recommendations. Don’t get me wrong, I love, take pride in, and enjoy my job and my colleagues tremendously. I lead the insights department of a multi-national company and, certainly, my creative flair has helped bring magic to my work. But my heart yearns.
My heart yearns to make sense of what’s happening inside me,
to put structure on seemingly-disparate thoughts,
and emotions that sometimes I cannot contain in this body.
My heart yearns to set something inside me free,
to weave with words and crystallize codes.
My heart yearns to create something beautiful.
And so here we are again. Of course I was on Multiply then Livejournal then Tumblr then Wix. But this time, I’m making a commitment to myself—to honor gift and bloodline, to not only consume but to create and contribute.
Thank you for witnessing this space and for witnessing me. ❤︎
